\"sigla<\/a>Dear memebers of our cross stitch community, today we will talk about another counted cross stitch set designed by\u00a0Gobelins Tapestry kits<\/a>,<\/em>\u00a0and it can be found in the\u00a0Portraits<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>section of our website, under the code 649.<\/p>\n

This cross stitch design was inspired by the painting with the same of Konstantin Makovsky<\/a>, Russian painter that lived between 1839 and 1915. Makovsky descends from a family of artists, his mother being a compositor and his father a amateur painter. Makovsky had two brothers, Vladimir and Nikolay, both of them sharing his passion with paintings.<\/p>\n

During his life Makovsky received many distinctions for his paintings, one of the being\u00a0The Gold Medal at Universal Exhibit in 1889.<\/em>\u00a0Tragically Makovsky died in 1915, when a tram hit the carriage he was traveling in.<\/p>\n

When it’s completed, the counted cross stitch tapestry will be 30 centimeters width and 39,5 centimeters high,\u00a0and to complete it are required 51 shades of the\u00a0Coats-Puppets\u00a0<\/em>palette.<\/p>\n
