\"sigla<\/a>Dear visitors of our counted cross stitch blog, in this article we will present you another kit designed by\u00a0Gobelins Tapestry kits<\/a><\/em>, it’s name is\u00a0Vase with Flowers<\/a><\/em>\u00a0and it’s inspired by a\u00a0Clara Peeters<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>painting, dutch artist that supposedly lived in the XVII-th century between 1594 and 1657.<\/p>\n

Clara Peeters is considered the most famous dutch woman in the XVII-th century. During her period it was uncommon for a woman to be a painter, especially for one with no academic education.<\/p>\n

There is little known about Clara’s personal life, supposedly her talent was inherited from her father. The oldest paintings that wore signed by Clara date back from when she was only 14, and her most productive period was between 1607 and 1621, most of them being commissioned by the aristocracy of those times.<\/p>\n

Being one of the oldest dutch painters, Clara’s paintings are highly valuable, in a recent auction, one of her paintings was sold for 2.9 million $.<\/p>\n
